I am delighted to offer another opportunity for you to join me on a 3-night, mid-week retreat to satisfy your love of running and escaping to the hills whilst also indulging yourself with time to rest, relax and a daily yoga practice. I am delighted to be working with my good friend Emma (the fabulous yogi and teacher known as Em Yoga) to bring you this retreat. Based at the beautiful Edale Gathering in the heart of the Peak District National Park this retreat offers you luxurious accommodation, a delicious 3 course welcome meal and daily breakfasts.
Each morning after a hearty breakfast you’ll be guided on a trail run that takes you into the local hills giving you a chance to take in the stunning scenery with plenty of opportunities to catch your breath and take photos if desired. Coaching and advice is available if required and no prior trail running experience is required to join this retreat, however a minimum level of running fitness is required. (I ask that all runners are able to run at least 10km in 70 mins on the road). Once we get back there will be plenty of time for you to refuel, rest up and enjoy the facilities offered at the Gathering. Late afternoon we’ll come together for a yoga practice with Emma, which could be restorative or more dynamic depending on everyone’s energy levels. Other than the first evening where we provide a tasty and nutritious meal, the other evenings give you an opportunity to self-cater, although at past retreats we’ve all headed into the village to one of the local pubs for dinner. There will also be the option to pre-book a sports massage for one of the afternoons.
